| Anybody
interested in the Library Movement may become a member of the Association.
there are Five categories of the members in the association: |

Honorary
Members |
A
limited number of distinguished persons who have rendered outstanding
services towards the development of libraries in the state may be
elected as Honorary Members. Such elections would be held at the
Annual General Meeting of the Association on the recommendation
of the Council and upto a limit of three Honorary Members at a time.
Total number of the Honorary Members shall not exceed five
and they shall enjoy the rights and privileges of Ordinary Members. |

be a person who is interested in the cultural and educational development

pay Rs. 5000.00 (Rupees Five Thousand Only) at a time to the fund
of the Association. Every Donor is a member of the Association
for life and he will not be required to pay any more subscription
during his lifetime. |

from other countries except SAARC countries shall pay Rs. 2000.00
(Rupees Two Thousand Only) in Indian currency or its equivalent. |

organized library service in the State |

Shall
be a person who is interested in the spread of education and culture

Ordinary
members shall pay Rs. 75.00 (Rupees Seventy Five Only) per annum
as subscription fees. |

Citizen
from SAARC countries except India shall pay Rs. 250.00 (Rupees Two
Hundred Fifty Only) per annum in Indian currency or its equivalent.
The citizen from other foreign countries except SAARC countries
shall pay Rs. 750.00 (Rupees Seven Hundred Fifty Only) per annum in
Indian currency or its equivalent. |

members coming under categories 1 to 3 shall pay Rs. 150.00 (Rupees
One Hundred Fifty Only) per annum as subscription fees.
The
annual subscription fees for the Association of librarians and library
workers is Rs. 200.00 (Rupees two hundred only) per annum.
Institutions
from the SAARC countries except India shall pay Rs. 300.00 (Rupees
three hundred only) per annum in Indian currency or its equivalent
as subscription fees. Other countries except SAARC countries shall
pay Rs. 1000.00 (Rupees one thousand only) per annum in Indian
currency or its equivalent as subscription fees |
| Patron |
| Any
distinguished person on the recommendation of the executive committee
may be elected as Patron of the Association at the Annual General
Meeting. |
| |
| Duties
and Obligation of Members |
| Every
person or institution while applying for membership shall undertake
to be bound by the Memorandum, Rules and Regulations or other Bye-laws
in force or which may, thereafter, be made from time to time.
Every
member shall notify to the Secretary of the association any change
in address.

| Rights
and Privileges of Members |
| All
valid members can participate in the election of all Bodies of the
Association as per Rules and Regulations of the Association. They
can participate in the Conferences, Meetings, Annual General Body
and Special General Body meetings of the Association. They are entitled
to get the Association's Journal 'Granthagar' on payment of
current membership subscription. They can also use the Association's
Library as per Library Rules. |
