The Association regularly publishes books related to library and information science. Not only that, it also publishes Conference Proceedings of those Conferences organized by the Association.
From its inception, the Association regularly organizes Conferences. Till now 53 Bengal Library Conferences have been organized by the Association within a regular interval.
Bengal Library Association engages in development of library management software Koha. It customizes Koha for different libraries, provides active support regarding this as well as organizes training programme on a regular interval.
It is a programme launched by the Association with an objective of bringing in a single interface catalogues of participating libraries using different software.
Applications forms are available for admission in the Certificate Course In Library Science, Summer Session, 2026 organized by Bengal Library Association from the Association's office at P-134, C.I.T. Scheme-52, Kolkata-700014 on 15.12.2025 to 22.01.2026 [between 2.00 PM-6.30 PM except Sunday and Govt. Holidays] by submission of Rs.100/- by cash or Demand Draft (in favour of Bengal Library Association payable at Kolkata) or through online mentioned in the Form. Filled up application forms must be submitted within the above mentioned dates in the Association Office by-hand or by-post together with the self attested documents mentioned in the form.

Class Timings: Online --> Monday--Friday [between 6.30 PM-9.30 PM] | Offline --> Saturday [between 11.00 AM-2.00 PM, in every alternate week]
